Pixel Pak Privacy Policy

Pixel Pak is built to keep your work on your own device and to collect as little as possible.

This policy explains what information Pixel Pak (the app at pixelpak.mipixel.co.uk) and its licence system use, in plain English. It does not cover the rest of the mipixel.co.uk website, which has its own cookie and privacy information.

The short version

• Your drawings stay on your device. We cannot see them, and they are not uploaded to us.
• Pixel Pak has no advertising, no tracking cookies and no analytics inside the app.
• We only receive information when you activate a Pro licence or contact us.

What stays on your device

Your drawings, settings and licence details are saved in your browser's storage on your own device (the app also works offline). If you clear your browser data, they can be lost, so use the save/export options to keep copies. We do not have access to this data.

Information we handle for licensing (Pro only)

If you buy and activate Pixel Pak Pro, the app contacts our licence server (run on Cloudflare). To check your licence, it receives:

• your licence key;
• a random device ID the app makes for your browser (it contains no personal information);
• a friendly device name such as "Chrome on Android" and four characters of that ID, so you can recognise your devices in the Manage devices list;
• your internet address (IP address), which any web server sees when you connect. We do not store it ourselves, though Cloudflare may keep short-term technical logs for security.

The licence server does not keep its own database. The activation records (key, device ID and device name, and when it was added) are kept by Lemon Squeezy. We use this information only to check that your licence is valid and to enforce the 3-device limit. Our legal basis is performing our contract with you.

Information from your purchase

Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information when you buy, as the merchant of record and an independent data controller. We receive limited order details (such as your name, email, country and order number) so we can support you and handle refunds. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy. We never see your full card details.

Hosting

The app and website are hosted on Cloudflare, who process standard technical data (such as IP addresses and browser type) to deliver the pages securely. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you email us

If you send feedback or a support email, we use your email address and message to reply and to fix problems. The feedback button in the app only opens your own email program with a pre-filled message about the app version and plan; nothing is sent until you press send.

How long we keep things

• Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends, unless we need longer for a legal or accounting reason.
• Order and tax records: as long as the law requires (normally 6 years).
• Licence activation records: for as long as the licence exists, then as Lemon Squeezy's policy requires.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another service. Email Michael@MIPixel.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

Pixel Pak is a general-audience drawing tool. Purchasing is for adults, or for a child with a parent or guardian's permission. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change what we collect we'll update this page and the date at the top.
