Pixel Pak Terms of Sale

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These are the terms for using Pixel Pak and buying a Pixel Pak Pro licence. We've tried to keep them short and clear.

MI Pixel Ltd ("MI Pixel", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13677851, registered office Unit 7a Radford Crescent, Billericay, Essex, England, CM12 0DU. Email: Michael@MIPixel.co.uk.

1. What this covers

Pixel Pak is a pixel art editor that runs in your web browser at pixelpak.mipixel.co.uk. It is free to use with limits. "Pixel Pak Pro" is a paid licence that removes those limits and unlocks extra features. These terms cover your use of Pixel Pak and the purchase of a Pro licence.

2. Who you are buying from

Orders are processed by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the "merchant of record". That means Lemon Squeezy takes your payment, collects and pays any VAT or sales tax due, and sends your receipt and licence key. We license the software to you. Lemon Squeezy's own terms and privacy policy apply to the checkout and payment.

3. The free version

The free version has limits on canvas size, layers, animation frames, map size and open drawings, and some tools are Pro only. We may change what is in the free version in future releases, but we will not take away drawings you have already made.

4. Pixel Pak Pro licence

  • One-off price. You pay once. There is no subscription and no renewal. The price shown at checkout (including any tax) is the price you pay.
  • Devices. One licence key works on up to 3 devices (a device means a browser on a phone, tablet or computer where you have activated the key). You can remove an old device from the Licence dialog in the app to free a slot.
  • Personal licence. The licence is for you. Please do not share, resell or publish your key. If a key is shared widely we may disable it.
  • Updates. Your licence includes updates to Pixel Pak for as long as we continue to offer and support it.
  • Staying unlocked. Pro checks your licence with our licence server roughly once a month, and works offline in between. If your device is offline for longer than about 30 days, Pro pauses until it can reconnect, and your drawings are not affected.

5. Your artwork

You own what you make. Drawings, sprites and maps you create in Pixel Pak belong to you, and you can use them in personal and commercial projects, including games you sell. We do not claim any rights over them. Your drawings are stored on your device (see our privacy policy), so please keep your own backups by saving project files.

The Pixel Pak software, name, logo and built-in content (such as the example templates) belong to MI Pixel Ltd or the people who licensed them to us. Credits for third-party palettes and fonts are in the app's About dialog.

6. What you may not do

  • Copy, resell or redistribute Pixel Pak or its code, or pass it off as your own.
  • Try to get round the licence checks, or share keys to give Pro to people who have not bought it.
  • Use Pixel Pak for anything unlawful.

7. Refunds

Please see our Refund policy. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

8. Availability and changes

Pixel Pak is made by a small independent studio. We work hard to keep it running and bug-free, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update the app, and we may change these terms; if we make an important change we will say so on this page. If we ever stop offering Pixel Pak we will give reasonable notice and make sure you can still save and export your work.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence) or your statutory consumer rights, including that digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss of data that you did not back up. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pixel Pak Pro is limited to the amount you paid for it.

10. Contact and complaints

If something is wrong, email Michael@MIPixel.co.uk and we will put it right as quickly as we can.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local consumer laws, and the courts of your home nation can hear disputes.
